Business Basics: This is a primer on how to start and market a business. It is primarily for entrepreneurs planning a startup or for businesses that have recently started and need general basic business advice. The subject matter discussed includes how to set up the business enterprise -- licensing, registration, zoning, and entity type (proprietorship, partnership, corporation) -- development and need for a business plan and lender's requirements for financing (including credit scores). Participants will understand the requirements for planning and starting a business, the effort required to run a business, researching competitors, capturing operating costs, and startup cash and costs. Business Plan: We teach you the importance of having a professional business plan. Takes the fear out of building a Business Plan and how it is to be used. Financial Management: This program is a more in depth review of financial management for the existing business, or serious entrepreneur in the pre startup mode. The class focuses on Profit and Loss Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Return on Investment, and detailed discussion on expenses, startup costs, cash cycles, granting and receiving credit, pricing, inventory, asset acquisition, and financing options. The outcome is a client that has a much broader understanding of the financial requirements for operating a business and being profitable.
